Shaving won't make your hair thicker. Because you are not increasing the number of hair follicles or increasing the diameter of your current hair follicles by shaving. But individual strands of hair may appear thicker after shaving because of the blunt tip, as opposed to the normal tapered tip. Also, by letting your hair grow out, the new hair will be healthier and undamaged, because it has not been exposed to normal day-to-day wear and tear.

Shaving your head will make your hair look healthier when it grows out. It won't really make it thicker because it doesn't make more hair. Try volumizing shampoo to make it look thicker. A healthy diet helps too.

That's an old wives tale. People believe that because when you shave any hair you're cutting the hairshaft at a blunt angle, so when it grows out it appears thicker than when your hair naturally grows out with a finer tip.

They say shaving your legs makes it come back thicker, but I don't know if that's true. If you wax it a few times it doesn't come back thicker. Hope that helps!
