Basically, After unpacking from yet another move some of the photos are dusty, have fingerprints, etc. Some are framed, some not. So it's mostly dust and dirt.

Marshall Photo Oils makes a cleaner called Marlene which will clean any photograph and some films and is harmless to the emulsion. You can get it at larger photo supply houses and online. I think it is carbon tetrachloride based, so it evaporates immediately. But just to be sure, test on a corner or non-important part of the photograph. Do not, however, use Marlene on any type of commercial four color printing like posters and such.. it will take the ink right off.

It depends on what's wrong with it. You have to elaborate. It could be as easy as wiping with a cloth, or as compicated as treating it with chemicals.
