A Visa is a document granted to a foreigner by the country he wants to visit. It limits the length of time the person may spend in the country as a visitor. If the person wants to stay longer than 6 mo., he/she is usually required to provide their reasons, documentation of income, proof they are not wanted for criminal activity. They are also required to register their location in the country at the nearest Immigration office.
