i am 16 and never been on a date. I have liked guys but whenever i try to get close they break my heart. how do i know if they are serious or flirt jokes?

The only thing I can say is go with your feelings. But don't be in too big of a rush. Once you give of yourself, you can't get it back. But also remember that there are plenty of others out there who have been heart broken more than once, you wouldn't be the first. But don't let it get you down, there is someone out there for everyone. I waited till after I graduated high school before I did anything more than heavy petting and foreplay. You don't have to have intercourse to drive your partner into sexual ecstasy. And it took me through a few heartbreaks until I found the one in my life I would die for. And 20 yrs later I still feel the same as the day I met her!!!!!!!!!!

at 16 all guys are just flirting jokes. you're young enjoy having fun and don't worry about love. when it happens it will and i'll tell you a secret 9 and a half times out of 10 it will not happen at 16. be a teenager and have fun. date if you want but don't if you don't. life isn't that serious

Most guys are just trying to get to one thing!
Consentrate on your school work, get involved in charities or maybe a Christian youth group and enjoy being 16....there is no hurry to date.

dont worry if u dont have a boyfriend or if guys dont take u out on a date...its better that way just enjoy the single life and have like 20 guys that are "just" friends..and the losers that have broken ur heart they're goin to regret it one day....trust me....

Stop trying to get close...you're 16 years old and boys that age are just trying to have fun. Have fun as well until you find someone who's also looking to "get close." You've got plenty of time! Good luck! : )

If they are in high school, then they are not (or at least should not) be serious. Have fun with it, but there is no need to worry about getting serious now. Concentrate on your education.

well, I guess all I can say is...relax!!!!! Most of the time, if a guy truly likes you he will always act that way. Flirts and jokers are usally very immature and act different ly at different times.
