I want to study engineering and I want to study in a specific university but my ex girlfriend is studying there and I don't want to see her because it will make me feel horrible,nervous and I will have to face my past.What should I do???I should go to another university???thanks for your help.

You can't move forward if you don't face your past. Be brave enough to follow your dream, go to the university you want, and disregard your ex-girlfiend. It's your life after all...don't let someone else control it, even if indirectly.

Just because you two would be going to the same school doesn't mean you will see each other all the time. Besides you are going to have times in your life where you have to interact with people you have problems with so if you do this successfully then you will prove to yourself that you are mature enough to date some one from work. Trust me when I say that will come in handy ;)

If you start avoiding places because of people, before long you will be confined to your house. There are tons and tons of people at university, chances are you will never even see her unless you take the exact same classes. Good luck with your studies!
