The only shot they are required by law to get is the rabies vaccine. The DHLPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus) is strongly reccomended, and depending on where you live and in you plan on boarding your dog coronovirus, Bordetella (kennel cough) or Lyme disease vaccines may be reccomended.

The schedule varies by vet and area, but here is what it's like for my pup (keep in mind some she got before she came to me):
4 wks- Bordetella
6 wks- DHLPP
9 wks- DHLPP and Lyme
12 wks- Rabies, DHLPP, Lyme, and Bordetella
15 wks- DHLPP

Again it does vary, check with your local vet.

A pug gets the same shots as other dogs. Their puppy shots, when they become 6 to 8 weeks and then the pup every 4 weeks, they need several more. Rabies and Distemper is giving to the pup when it is old enough to get spayed or a little before. After they become over a year they get rabies once every 2 or 3 years and a distemper shot every year.

Here's the site of the American Animal Hospital Association. They have the 2006 protocol for dogs and puppies. This is the protocol followed by all 27 U.S. vet schools. Vets all have their own made up protocols.
