I've worked at a credit union for three years and the people who work in my loan department always tell teenagers or others who don't have credit to take out a loan, even if it's for only $100. It's easy to pay off; you just use the money you get from the loan to pay the payments and it'll only cost you a few dollars more for interest. That way, you'll make your credit grow and it's easy to do!

Sadly you do have to get a credit card to establish credit. start out with a student credit card if you can. If not just get one with a low credit limit.

get a loan from a bank secured with your own money and pay the loan back in installments into your savings account. Good way to save money AND build credit.
