I'm 26 and I want an engagement ring from my bf of 5 years. But if I were in a new relationship, I'd probably accept jewelery. He has to put a lot of thought into getting something you would like so you gotta appreciate that. If not jewelry, I would also appreciate a gift card to Bebe or a place you like to shop.

Maybe request some stuff to pamper yourself at home so that your new boyfriend can be involved too: bathrobes, those cushy socks, massage stuff, bath oils, anything relaxing that you could do at home to relax both of you and allow you to spend time together :)
