No religion has been proven correct or the complete truth. Christianity says that the proof for God is the bible except that God wrote the bible so it's a circular argument. As for other religions some or a theories on thought and some other religions flat out understand that they are not the only way to believe and respect that.

No one religion has ever been proven to be the only "correct" one, because all religions are based on beliefs far more than provable facts. God didn't write the Bible, men did. They may have been inspired by God, or by someone else, or even by their own reasoning powers. The Bible, like other religious tomes, is a collection of facts, fables, myths, misunderstandings, and folk tales, and it's impossible today to know or to figure out which are which. It is a source of inspiration and rules of conduct for those who choose to believe in it, but so is the Koran, for example. And, like the Koran, it is subject to all kinds of interpretation and misinterpretation by theologians and lay people alike.

The question is somewhat confusing 'as is'.
Do you mean 'over 200 Christian denominations'?
If so; perhaps this is at least one possible answer. There are tests in Christianity. Different 'denominations' are currently at different levels of passing those multiple tests (the denominations may not even realize they are being 'tested' (pass/fail)).

Man invented all those religions. God has one standard and that is holiness. The bible says: Holy Bible not baptist bible, methodist bible, and etc. Holiness started back in A.D.33 when Jesus first built his church The Church of God which is the only church mentioned in the bible. The bible says: God has made man upright but they have sought out many inventions. These religions started when the devil used people to destroy God's true church and God's true way of living. Many men started to rise up against the Church of God because it was standing firm on the word of God. The devil hates the truth and he used many to defeat God's people who were standing for truth and right. This is why religions rose up. Everybody had a different opinion that was to suit themselves rather than just obeying God's word. They wanted to have their own way which was against God. Many went to start their own churches taking bits and pieces of God's word but not the whole. The Church of God which is God's true church still stands today despite what the devil does or people say. God still expects us to live holy and without blemish which is sin free. We don't have to sin. We sin because we want to. If you want to do right and be honest God has a place for you, his true church. On the other hand if you want to be a hypocrite and be dishonest the devil has many different churches where you can do what you want to do and still serve God. God is not the author of confusion. We cannot do what we want to do and get by, we will definitely pay for our right doing as well as our wrongdoing. Choose the honest life don't be religious, be saved from your sins our God requires it. God bless you!

Each and every religion claims to have proof but somehow fails to provide any evidence. Books written by man just don't cut it.

As Gary demonstrated, it's the "It's true because my holy book says it's true" syndrome.
If the individual sees it this way, they will wonder why you don't as well, but never stop to think about any real answer to that question.

Because man made false religions to do what he wants and to free himself from the true God.
