what would you think if you were approached by an average guy whom you never talked to and he said something that complimented you.......even he wasnt your dream guy would you talk to him and have a converstation, or be like ewwww get away?

if he looks anything like your avatar i would say ewwww get away from me but if he was average i would like to get to know him and maybe become friends or even more than friends.

It really would depend on how the compliment was delivered. If you approach a women in an appropriate setting and manner she should accept the compliment and say thank you.
Pay attention to her body language..that will be your best indicator if she is comfortable with you continuing a conversation.
Typically the hot guys make poor boyfriends. Personality and confidence can be so much more attractive than looks.

Sure, I would talk to him. I would thank him for the compliment. Depends too on if average means normal or average means creepy. I have met some creepy average guys. I have a pretty good first insinct, so I would go off of my initial gut feeling.

It totally depends on the context. (I'm married now, but I can tell you what I'd have done as a single girl.)
If someone approached me in a non-threatening way, politely, somehere like a restaurant/bar, coffee shop, whatever--someplace public and comfortable, I would say "thank you" and probably chat with the guy. It's a gutsy move when a guy does that, and I would appreciate it!
When a guy comes on too strong, seems controlling or pushy, or somehow makes me feel uncomforable--I'd say "thanks" but I wouldn't pursue a conversation.

I would probably talk to him. I talk to everyone, in line at the grocery store, people I meet at the doctors office, etc. I don't think I have ever met a stranger. I would especially talk to someone who was giving me a tasteful comment. Not the little horney guy who has to make a comment about my caboose or things of that nature...but a true compliment, sure I would talk to him.

I would say thank you and exchange a few words. If I wasn't interested I would try to keep the conversation short as to not get in to the dreaded being asked out and have to turn him down situation.

definately talk to him if he talked to me,avergae guys are usually the hot guys and when men compliment and be sweet that attracts and brings in a girl closer than you ever imagined

I'm not a picky person, I like to think that you never know who the right person is unless you try. So to answer your question...I would be flattered if that happened. I would think it was sweet unless I could tell that he was just trying to hit on me and didn't really mean it.

I get worried when that happens because you don't know if you are going to be grabbed. But I usually say thank you. It is not a good way of getting to know a girl.
