Why I am asking this question?
Because some of the Muslim extremists say so as well.
Of course this is stupid, but I found it interesting that our Muslim extremists agree with Christians extremists.

:)

lol i will just throw this out as to why, i work at a christian daycare, they "outlaw" pokemon games there, (i let the kids play with it though) however some of the daycare teachers wont allow it because its satanic to them. ive gotten in a few arguments with the folks there, and they brought me a 10page paper on HOW pokemon is satanic. regardless i still let the kids be kids.

infact they even got into it with me about how santa is the mispelling of satan so santa is really satanic too.

some people....

so an fyi, i am not one who thinks that. i just stated that some do. ^^ do not hate appreciate! after all im still a kid inside, i play pokemon with the kids there ;)

"of the devil" is a bit broad...can they have a bad effect on children? I think so.

The little creatures seem to take on the characteristics of little personal demons, being able to be summoned at the will of the child to vanquish enemies. They come in the guise of "cute and cuddly", and can change to menacing at will. The children involved don't use their own virtues to conquor enemies, they summon demons.

It's not too hard to draw parallels. Kids may become interested in the occult as a result. Let's just call it a bad choice as a toy. There are so many other good games out there, why choose one that may have this influence?

No it really doesn't. Just pressing it makes you 'feel' like you're helping, but you're really not. The only surefire way to catch Pokemon is with a Masterball. Anything else its just up to how low the health is, the status problems, and luck.

To the insecure religious people out there, it is of the devil.

It all depends on a persons perspective on Television.

My children do not watch cartoons, not because they are of "the devil" or something like that, but because they are not educational.

It all depends on a persons perspective on things.

There are no absolutes when it comes to this discussion.

Thank You.

The devil? No. Tools of evil? Oh, yeah. Why? Probably for the same (dubious) reasons these same folk raised Hell over rock & roll, Dungeons & Dragons, and any one of a long list of things over the years.

Well, Chippy makes a valid point. There are plenty of people who twist religion around to fit their beliefs... I've heard people say things like, "Driving SUV's is the kind of thing that Jesus preached against." or , "Jesus would be against today's music if He were here to hear it."

There will always be people around who will try to bastardize the bible and change it to fit them, instead of conforming to the actual religious beliefs and doctrines.

Pokemon, Barney, Harry Potter, Dungeons and Dragons.

anything that people would rather do than go to church and read their bibles.

there are fanatics out there. they see evil in everything but themselves.
