yes there is more than one planet earth in the universe. one in cave man times , maybe another one more advanced but to think that we are the only possibility of human life is just ridiculous

Vastly more than you can imagine.
Suppose you stand a card on its edge so it stands straight up. If you knew the exact position and momentum of every random air molecule that hit it, you would be able to predict which way it will fall over. But how would you measure every air molecule without disturbing the air you have already measured? Its called Heisenburg's uncertainty principle, and it also has to do with the wave-like nature of matter that is explained here: http://www.quantumintro.com/
Because you can never figure out exactly where all the particles are, you can't predict which way the card will fall. Some say that the card actually falls both ways (or at least that's what the equations indicate), but lands with each face up in a separate universe! Yes, I meant what I said, and no, the people who came up with this are real scientists. Both ways up, and each possibility in its own plane of existence. Its called multiverse theory. After you're done with the intro to quantum mechanics, this will make interesting reading:
http://plato.stanford.edu/entries/qm-manyworlds/
And if you feel a little lost about the idea of superposition:
http://www.phobe.com/s_cat/s_cat.html
And if you want (slightly indirect) proof:

There is probably a possible world where I didn't answer this question, or where I am already dead and buried. I wouldn't be surprised if Kerry is president somewhere out there, and I bet Lee Harvey Oswald missed in another. Each fissioned universe can spawn more fissioned universes, so by now there are probably universes beyond count. It is even suspected that the laws of physics were created at random at the beginning of the universe, and there are universes with slightly different sets of laws out there. If you can imagine something, it probably exists!

There are more planets in the universe with the same conditions as Earth, but they probably need to named different than Earth. Also there are parallel universes so yes, there is more than one Earth.

Well, there's only one Earth in the sense that there's only one planet named "Earth", but there might be other planets out there, WAY out there, with intelligent life. Who knows. Maybe someday we will...

I suppose there could be millions of other Earths if you believe in alternate universes. Ther are probably also planets with similar characteristcs in other galaxies, as well.
The truth is, so far as we know, there is only one earth.

There is only one rock we have named earth.....we are on it....there could very well be other planets that have the needed elements to support life though...is that what you were asking....or were you trying to strange and talk different dimensions

One Earth. That's the name we gave this planet. There are probably other planets with similar characteristics though, if that's what you're asking.
