Its the Creative Labs Instant-Skype Edition Webcam it runs at a full 30 frames per second; snaps photos at up to 640x480...
but when i use it on yahoo messanger it only runs at 3.08 fps

I think is about a webcam ..not a digital camera ...he is in wrong section.
check if your webcam is USB 1 or USB2. Download the latest driver for your webcam.

What camera are you talking about, and how many FPS do you want to raise it to?
Is it a film camera or a video camera?
