I have this internal stye right below the crease in my eyelid that has been there for along time. It does not hurt but bothers me as it is very noticable.

6 months!!! please go to the doc!

but usually it helps to boil an egg , let it cool and use it as a warm roller on the eyelid...this will soften the stye and eventually cause it to dissolve...this was the advice given to me by my Optometrist friend a while back.

The typical way to treat a stye is to rub 14 k gold or higher on the area. I didnt know that they could remain around longer than a week or so.

Incase it is not a stye, you might want to go have that checked out. But try the gold... see if that works.

it may not be a stye. go to the doctor to be sure. If it is a stye, pull out the eyelash that the stye is formed on. It will clear up instantly and you will feel a butt load of relief. however, it may be a skin tag or mole forming. have it checked to be safe.

Styes can sometimes be caused by an deficiency in certain vitamins. Try taking a multivitamin every day and it should start to clear up. If vitamins to not help, you may want to see a dermatologist for a better solution.

Make yourself a pot of tea. Squeeze the teabag a bit and put in on your eye while it's still as hot as you can handle. Continue to do this for several hours or until the sty breaks. It sounds dumb but honest, it works. There's tannic (sp?) acid in the tea that draws out the infection.

Go to a pharmacy and ask for Golden Eye Ointment. Comes in a tiny tube. Drops will not help as they are for the actual eye, not the lids etc.

styes are self limiting, so if that little bump has been there that long it isn't a stye. See a doctor.

Hot compresses. If that doesnt work, then you need to get it lanced by a doctor, don't try it yourself.
