Dude can't someone be good without religion?

Yes you can be good without religion, but if you have sinned, and all of us have, you fall short of God's requirements for perfection. No matter how good you think you are, it ain't good enough. God will do nothing for now, but there is coming a day when every knee shall bow, and every tongue confess the name of Jesus. Jesus Christ is the only one who has lived a perfect life on this earth, and He came of His own free will to die for our sins (the sins of the world). All He asks is that you believe that God raised Him from the dead, and that He is your only hope to reach Heaven. Without that acceptance, you will never see Heaven; instead you will be cast along with other unbelievers into the pits of Hell. Now God didn't create Hell for sinners, He created it for Satan and his demons, but if you don't respond to His invitation for Salvation, you will most certainly end up there. What a shame it would be that your sin debt has been paid by the precious blood of Jesus Christ and you refuse to accept His gift of eternal life. Accept Jesus as your personal Saviour before it is too late. These are the last days. We don't know how long, but God does, and He has allowed all of the prophecies prior to the rapture to happen. All we are waiting on now is Jesus to come. If you haven't received Him before the rapture, then you will go through the tribulation and will not have an opportunity to be saved. Do it now before it is too late!! The devil will keep making you think you are good enough, but you aren't.

My God is secure enough in his/her/it's Godhood not to need worship........Then again if you believe in a God, isn't living the life you have been blessed with, as a good person, a truer form of worship than just talking about God once a week or going to a special building to think about God?

I am a Celtic Pagan. my gods do not do anything to someone that does not believe in them. the soul simply is reincarnated into another life and the cycle continues untill the soul gets what it is looking for from life. then it moves on again. there is no punishment. there is no horroble place for you to spend eternity.
if you are a good person or a person that did many good things, the gods may offer you a reward in the afterlife. it is still your choice to take it or to decline.

I don't have a god. So my god would pretty much be a disapointment in the tormenting of unbelievers. If I had my own god, I would encourage him to give jock itch to those who believed in other people's gods. So at least they would have something to remind them of MY one true god while sitting in some other god's church, lol

GOD would still love the person even if he or she was not a good person but it would be a little better if the person did believe.

Yes, you are absolutely right,Religion does not make one "Good". The essence of our being is unconditional love. we have unity with God within the heart in unconditional love. God made all things "GOOD",it is the concepts within the mind of man that sees duality. PS God never punishes anyone we do it to ourselves through karma. God sees all as his perfect children.

Yes, you can be good without religion. But God does not want you to just be good, and he doesn't even necessarily want you to be religious. He wants you to be saved!

We have the same God. You don't have to accept Him or recognize Him in your life, but hopefully you will "know" Him in time to be saved.
Are there such people who are good, but don't believe in God? There might be, but I haven't met any yet. As far as what happens to them after life on earth....John 3:18 says,
18Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.

It's good that your good but I'm afraid that in my religion that u will not enter paradise.You see in my religion the worst thing is not believing in God.My religion is islam btw.
