my daughter keeps taking out one of her shoe whenever we go out, i really don't understand whats wrong with her shoes because as soon a syou make her sit in the child seat she'll tae out one of her shoe and will start pulling her socks out.i have tried telling her its bad manners and she won't be able to go out with us otherwise, i've hit her once or twice when i get frustarted with this antic because nomatter how many times you make her wear those shoes she just immediately pulls them out. i've lost some 4 pairs in last one week believe me because even outside the house she'll just pull them and throw. i was thinking it might be hurting her feet but how can 7 pair all hurt her . showed it to the doc and she laughed, but it's kinda turning expenisive and she's just 20 months but this act is really trying my patience now.

Both of my kids took their shoes and socks off all the time.

Get shoes with laces, and double-knot them. That will slow her down at least.

Buy inexpensive shoes while the phase lasts.

And just be prepared to have to keep an eye on what she does with them.

Don't hit her. It's frustrating, but I think most kids do this and it's developmentally appropriate. She's not doing it to irritate you. She's practicing dressing herself, which she's probably only able to do in reverse, and she probably enjoys the sensation of naked feet.

My 15-month-old won't keep socks and shoes on to save her life. But you should see how pleased with herself she is when she gets one off!

This is perfectly normal. My son did the same thing when he was that age. He could only get one shoe off, because he used his foot to push it, and once that shoe was off, he couldn't get the other one off with his bare foot. Please don't hit your daughter. This is not a big deal. Don't make her wear shoes unless you absolutely have to. Let her go barefoot around the house. If you are going somewhere, put her in her car seat without shoes. When you get where you are going, put the shoes on. This won't last forever, but it's not worth hurting your child over.

when this happened to me i just left the shoes off and didn't give them back it could be that she does it now because she knows she will get your attention, good or bad. if u leave her shoes off for a while and put them out of sight for a week or so chances are she will forget this little game and as she is only 20 months then its not a big deal if she doesn't wear shoes if shes in her pushchair.another thing u could try if that's no good is to give her an odd shoe to play with when out and she might be happy with that. i hope this helps you.

Some kids just don't like to wear shoes. My sister was the same way with clothes. Couldn't keep her dressed no matter how hard you tried. She learned how to undress herself before she even learned how to crawl, she hated clothes that much. I would suggest you take her shoes off her whenever possible. She can't take them off if she is busy walking on them. Otherwise, let her feet be free. Se'll be happy and you'll stop losing shoes. Good luck and try to be patient.

She is only a baby for crying out loud! Don't hit her! Just put her d*mn shoe back on! I have a toddler and it is normal for them to do that. Is she your first child? Try learning some patience honey.
