Both of my boys went thru that. They both are very picky eaters as well. I am very strict about making them eat what I make, but sometimes mom will give in and get them something else to eat. I think what you are experiencing is normal. Just to be safe, ask your child if they are feeling sick or if they have any unusual pain. If it persists for awhile just check in with a the doc.
Good luck.

OH YES!! My 6 year old has been doing this since I can remember. He will have weeks where I swear I can't feed him enough he eats everything...other weeks where he barely eats and just picks at his food. Don't worry it's pretty normal. If he is hungry he will eat. BUT don't let him eat junk food...make sure he sticks to meals then he can have snacks after eating his meals. That is our house rule!!

I have three kids and my son in particular has always had this ability to eat almost nothing until you put pizza or something else he really likes in front of him. Then he can eat as though he is storing up until he gets it again. He is 13 now and he has always been lioke that. good luck

My son is four and has been doing it for 2 years now the doctor said it is fine as long as you put them on a good muti-vitamin. I can name all 10 things my son will eat. One of thease days he will grow out of it. I hope

Yes that is normal. Just make sure they don't do this for too long. When they are hungry enough, they'll eat. If it goes too long...take them to the doctor. Good luck!

Yes, (he or she) could be going threw a growth spurt, or they could be picky. I know that my middle child I have to cut crust off. I wouldn't worry about it to much.. Although make sure they are taking vitamins, also contact doctor if lasts too long... Good luck!

It sure is!
And it is nearly impossible to sway them!
Ride it out, it shouldn't last long... in the mean time, give him'her a daily mulitvitiman & if you can get them to take it, try pedisure... like ensure for kids- to make sure he'she is getting all of the important stuff!
