I have this small moonscape painting from the late 19th century that I bought from Belgium. It's painted on wood panel and most that have seen it say it has a Van Gogh appearance. I had it looked at by a few professionals that said it was from that time period and location and was painted by an extremely gifted artist, but since it has no signature, I could get no other details besides that. I know also that Van Gogh rarely signed his works and from what I have read he did do some on wood panels, which at first I had my doubts about. I would like to have a top world expert on Van Gogh paintings that could take a look at it, but I'm not sure who I could contact. Any help on how I could pursue this would be greatly appreciated.
