For myself, a Christian, I follow the law (or at least attempt to in my imperfect way) that Jesus set forth in the Bible as opposed to the Law of Moses, which is found in the Old Testament. Many of the more crazy and odd sounding laws are found in the Law of Moses. The whole shell fish thing was not part of the "New Law". The 10 Commandments do still come into play, so I try to honor the Lord on the Sabbath, but is admittedly difficult.

Sabbath, Dietary, and Temple laws (rules) became void after Jesus came since they were all in awaiting the Messiah. After Jesus came, the Bible clearly states all foods are clean, we cannot be judged on whether we keep the Sabbath or not or who may enter the temple. Moral laws such as adultery, murder, theft, and others remain a part of the walk of Faith.

I follow the teachings of Christ.

He summarized things very good.

(1) Nothing that came before matters. So I ignore all that.
(2) Christ died for all our sins. Every single one of them. I dont worry about "committing sins".
(3) There is only one way into heaven. To love everyone. I work on that every day.
(4) Worship is an extremely private thing - do not do it in public, but rather in private, at night, hidden away from the eyes of others. I do not go to Churches or anything like that. My prayer if private.
(5) Respect all religious beliefs - they are all valid, including athiests and devil worshipers - man may not judge man for anything. So I have learned about and respect everyone else's religions. I do not preach to them what I do, and I do not try to "convert" anyone - the act of trying to "convert" someone is an act of extreme violence against someone, and is against both this rule, and # 3 above.

That's how I live my life. I try to avoid hating people and wanting to kill them, and try to love everyone from every walk of like and respect their wishes.

No. I don't live my life according to outmoded, irrational, unbelievable, fear and ignorance-based, and often immoral rules just because they were set down on paper a long time ago. I am guided by reason and compassion.

I don't, but not eating shell fish and Sabbath observance are in no way "Crazy." Jewish people get a lot of benefit out of observing these laws. And shell fish are unhealthy.

pessimists ought to have particular bible be taught training to sparkling up confusion. so yeah, wow, such quite some issues i ought to touch on which you pronounced, yet i'm going to %. my battles and merely touch on some key ones. you ought to have the two purely examine areas of the Bible, or had an extremely strict church, to make you think of that it particularly is purely a "rule e book". maximum of those regulations have been geared in direction of the particular human beings of the time, very corresponding to how the Jews' holy day is on Saturday (the seventh day), collectively as lots of something human beings took Sunday as our "holy day". the issues you stated: living interior the 2d, being the main suitable you will nicely be, treating others with admire or perhaps now not hectic appropriate to the subsequent existence, are ALL lined in the different areas of the Bible you of course weren't presented to. and that i do now not remember interpreting it asserting to now not experience sexual allure in direction of others, merely to now not think of approximately it with somebody's spouse, because of the fact as quickly as you have theory approximately it, it particularly is now not long beforehand you're attractive adequate to surely DO it. going back to the "living interior the 2d" fact, there is now not something incorrect with it, see you later as you realize there ought to be limits. you be conscious of, technically, rapists stay interior the 2d too, because of the fact the merely flow around having intercourse each and each time they experience like it, in spite of what the different individual looks like doing. you won't be in a position to merely make widely used regulations that prepare to all and sundry, because of the fact now not all and sundry's existence is so "decrease-and-dried" black or white. there is often that gray section (that i finally end up in so usually). anyplace interior the Bible with regulations, except it says they are everlasting rules, ought to be seen that they have got been meant for the folk of the time/place. quite some the recent testomony became merely letters to the church homes over there, like Corinthians one million&2 have been 2 letters to the church in Corinth, and Galatians became written to...the Galatians. you ought to not take the Bible so actually, nonetheless many Christians look to (possibly it particularly is why i do now not tend to get alongside with them o.k.). the Bible is packed with reliable "widely used rules", notwithstanding, and could be very clever for this style of objective. you ought to merely take it with a grain of salt...
