I think people are afraid of what they don't understand.

I didn't answer Catholicism, but I was raised Catholic and left the Church for a number of reasons, including:
Because of the Catholic Churches' often violent and unpleasant history; because by banning contraception in modern times the Church would rather see children born into poverty in developing nations rather than allow their parents to plan the number of babies they afford; because the Church shelters pedophiles and child abusers and protects them from the law.

I didn't specifically mention catholics, but weird rituals of eating the body and drinking the blood and all the other rituals ( I guess it makes you feel like you are "doing" something so you'll come back) and making up saints and assigning them duties? (If you had any kind of after life power and someone assigns me a job and bugs me about it, I'm giving them cancer)

I did not answer that but, I am a Catholic and I wondered that too. There is some real hatred out there for Catholics, but I am not surprised. Josephs brothers tried to kill him too.
