I believe in me:
No god(s), diety(ies), supernatural entities (ghosts, demons, angels), soul, karma, or spirituality.
I don't believe that there are god(s) and I just don't follow one of them, I believe there are no god(s).
I do subscribe to logic, reason, the scientific methodology.
I don't know what exactly you are trying to get but I hope this helps.

Atheists is not beliving in any deities. This includes Jesus, allah, Ra, budda, God and so on. They look more at science and logic to try to explain the world around them. Agnostic is someone who belives that the existence of God is possible but cant be proven.(i am a agnostic)
if you have time read the second link (age of reason) its long but goes in depth into the beliefs of atheists.

Atheists believe a great many things, dependent on the atheist in question. Atheists may believe in bigfoot or astrology or in the NY Mets. An atheist may believe that he will win the lottery. There is no 'Atheist' belief in a God because Atheists do
not believe in God/gods.
Atheists are not an organized community, atheism is not a religion...Atheists's beliefs are as uniques as the atheist him/herself.

I can't speak for all atheists but I believe there is no god. I believe that all religions were invented by men at one time or another. I do not believe in Darwin's theory either. I do believe that religious beliefs are the cause of most wars and violence throughout history.

Atheists do not believe in a god or gods. That's all they have to have in common with each other in order to be atheists.
They can believe in fairies, an afterlife, magic, aliens, even Santa Claus, just so long as they do not believe in a god or gods, they are atheists.
Most atheists are rational thinkers though.

Work with me on this. Think of all the things you believe related to: what you do for a living, what you learned in school, what you know about people, and finally "religion." Now, if you throw out the religious ones, wouldn't you still be left with a ton of "beliefs?" Of course you would.
Atheists don't oppose "believing," they simply do not believe in supernatural constructs - in much the same way you don't believe in certain supernatural constructs, e.g., Zeus.
The other side of the coin is most of us do believe in morality and the need to be productive members of our society. We understand these requirements arise out of our human condition and we need no promises of heavenly rewards or eternal damnation to be ethical. In fact, many of us think that a morality imposed from without is lame, weak.

There is a great deal of diversity among atheists. Just as there are different sects and levels of orthodoxy in other religions, atheists too believe different things.
My mother considers herself to be atheist, but she still feels that there is a connected-ness among living things. I am atheist, and I believe that there are no gods, no souls, and no afterlife. I believe that man must look to himself for strength and to find answers for questions of morality. People are capable of making real choices without spirituality - it's called conscience.

Only reasoning!Try not to mix things up. Separate superstition from logic.
What are these guy's trying to say,"Atheists believe in themselves"? Does that mean atheists supposedly believes they themselves are Gods. These guys are crazy and are putting things in our mouths! We believe there is no superstition including us being "Gods",funny! In a sense we are gods of our own lives, but that just means free will. Dont take it literally! It does not mean we are creators or anything in that sort.

A "weak atheist" (maybe a better word would be a "non-theist atheist") is someone who "lacks belief."
A "positive atheist" is someone who not only lacks belief in a deity of any sort, but actually possesses a strong belief and conviction that there is no/are no god(s).

I believe the defienition of an atheist is a being that has no belief in an ultimate being. I suppose it was a waste of time for you to ask this question instead of researching it on dictionary.com
