OMG. those were the breeds that my Aunt had!!! Here were they're names: Chester (german shepard), Belle Belle (black lab)

Shep is what my dogs name is he is a German Shepard.
Apollo is my friend German Shepard's name.

Shepherd- male- Doc, Cody, Bo, Oscar
female- Sadie, Goldie, Zoe
Just look at your dogs and ask yourself if they look like a ... and if they would like they name and if it suits them

yea, i gotta agree with lesley on this one, jaspers a really great dog name. if you want something else, take a good look at him, and think about what he reminds you of, and go from there. for example, when we got my dog, he had a mane of fur around his neck that made him look a lot like a lion, so we called him leo.

It really depends on his personality. Give it a few days and see if anything just strikes you. I had a german shep and we called her Hollywood, and usually just shortned it to Holly.
