If a woodchuck derived no pleasure from or a specific desire to chuck wood then it would be extremely unlikely for it to chuck as much wood as it could chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood. If a woodchucks wood chucking gave it tremendous pleasure by means of a neural chemical flood of endomorphemes, then it could certainly be driving to chucking wood in excess, but would not necessarily lead to a woodchuck chucking as much wood as it could, although it may. If the woodchuck not only derived pleasure from the act of chucking wood, but also developed a strong addiction to chucking wood then a woodchuck would certainly chuck a lot of wood. Given these factors, then a woodchuck would develop a habit of excessive wood chucking perhaps even be driven like rats to cocaine to chucking wood in preference to eating, even to the point of starvation. Ergo, due to a combination of pleasure and addiction a woodchuck would likely chuck as much wood as a woodchuck could chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood. Especially, if you consider this as a process running throughout the lifespan of the woodchuck involving multiple individually discreet wood chucking sessions.
