How do you know that there is nothing wrong? Has he been checked by a doctor?

If he is crying all the time there is a reason. I suggest taking him to the emergency room and telling them the situation. He sounds as if he needs some testing done.

Depends on his age. If hes still small (under 2) maybe something is bothering him like an earache or something. If he's older then maybe he's just used to getting what he wants. Try talking to him doing other fun stuff yourself and saying wow this is fun maybe he'll want to join and will stop crying. If not i'd leave him in the room till he stops. Try vacuuming to try and drown out his noise.

My son is 3 and 6 months about your nephews age. I believe you said he has an ear-infection. Did his mom leave you some drops to put in his ear? If she didn't give him some childrens tylenol or motrin. When my son gets grouchy for everything it's because he's sleepy and can't get comfortable, just try creating somewhere soothing to sleep. I agree with one of the other responses at this age they have several movies he likes try putting one on, just don't ask him which one he wants to watch trust me he wont be able to make up his mind and will start crying again. Try it.

First it depends how old is he,
If he's 1, you should just try to smile at him alot.
If he's 2, you should ask him nicely, but still smile.
Anything older, a good 10 minute time-out!

It depends on how old he is.If he is under 5 years old I would call his mom, babies and toddlers dont cry for no reason at for that long he could have a tummy ache or teething or hert. The point is is if you dont know get help

how old is he, be more specific, is he a new born, maybe he is colic, he is a todler, maybe he is tired, or maybe he misses his parents, or play a game with him, there is all sorts of reasons for a child to cry, but it all depends on his age
Wish i could help more, but hard not knowing his age

you didn't specify how old he is.

is he tired? maybe a good car trip is in order. We used to do sleep inducing rides with my son when he was younger. Then again, he still likes to sleep in the car.

Maybe he is lonely , sad, scared. When all else fails try some loving. Some cuddling might be just what he needs.

i know this sounds really stupid but try running a vacuum cleaner or turning on a channel with JUST static. its called 'white noise' and can sometimes comfort some really collicky babies---good luck-hope it works
