I think this is a case for sacrifice on your part. I am sure you can get chocolate from the shop and enjoy it outwith the house. If the tempatation is removed then he can't steal it! If he is a dream without then isn't a tiny thing to give up for your son's health? Try and find a treat that everyone can enjoy. It must be hard for him knowing it's there and he's the only one not allowed it!

as others have said, if it is that much of a problem, I would restrain from having chocolate in the house.
I would find an alternative for yourself, and for the kids.
If you really want a snack, you can go get yourself a treat and eat it when the kids arent with you. I wouldnt allow the other children to have something and not him though, and I wouldnt emphaize the fact that you are making changes either.

I'd say keep the chocolate out of the house. Its easier to avoid sugar and caffiene when your body is clean and free of them. Detoxing goes more quickly if he cannot access the stimulant.
Keep them out of the house, and try walking to the store with your kids and picking up a snack to share every once in a while.

Your already doing brilliantly having a strict time when they can have choclate, that's good just dont let your children see you eating it!!! they might then just have an exuse to eat it. hide it. count how much you have and when it goes missing have a mini investigation say if one of you doesn't own up you will all get punished, with middle children they feel alot more guilty than the other two (middle child syndrome). And should own up, once he see's your serious he will undestand and look forward to those times when he is allowed it!!!
hope this helped!!

One of my kids has ADD and I know sugar isn't really what makes kids hyper but believe me if he gets chocolate, you'll know! What I do is either not buy enough for the house, (only buy a bar for each child) or I give him an alternate treat. LOL my husband has found the craziest things my son has "hidden" a piece of sandwich meat in his work boots! My darling heard Dad coming down the stairs and just for no reason stuck the meat in his Dads boot! Later his told us his logic was "nobody would find it there!" His Dad wears these boots everyday! LOL, anyway nice suprise to find in your boot after a few hours!

I hate to say it. But you're going to have to stop keeping chocolate in the house. And have a talk with the lad about stealing and lying.
Good luck.

Sorry, but I don't even understand why you're asking this question.
If you knew someone would shoot people if they got hold of a weapon, would you keep one in the house?
You're being both selfish and unreasonable. Get rid of any chocolate, explain why you're doing this and teach him that stealing is bad.

You could buy a lockable box,and keeps it out of his reach.
Have you tried a sugar free chocolate,Tesco's sell their own brand and it's really quite nice.
The only other thing i can suggest is don't buy any at all,but then it's not fair on your other children which ever way you go.

stop buying it for a while until he thinks you've stopped, then buy them secretly. Good for a short term solution, but i guess you need a longer term one to ensure that he always stays off chocolate and doesn't end up blowing all his money on it when he's older, because he feels that he was deprived of it as a child.

I'd be finding a real goos hideing place for the chocolate.
Maybe allow him a half of one of the bite sized ones they sell per day. But your better to break his cycle right now. Let him have bad dreams awhile. He'll get over that too.
