It is likely such as an infected anal sac..which can be very serious, and lead to systemic infection (blood poisoning) Your dog needs to see the vet as soon as you can..

Any time you see blood coming out of your pet, it's a medical issue that needs to be dealt with quickly. (Assuming, of course, that your dog isn't a female in heat.)
Bleeding from or around the anus could be caused by several things including anal gland problems, parasites, constipation or other bowel blockage, poisoning, colitis, colon cancer and other diseases.
Don't panic, but don't take this lightly either. Get the dog to a vet as quickly as possible and take a sample of its stool (poop) with you (in a Ziploc bag).
The longer you wait, the more serious this may become.

If you are sure that the blood is coming from the rectum, the dog needs to go to the vet. If it is coming formthe vagina, the dog could be in her estrus cycle...sometimes they have vaginal discharge with blood in it, just like humans. OR...most commonly, your dog may have ruptured his/her anal glands. It is no big deal, but the ru[tured glands will need to be cleaned out before they get infected. The vet could do that for relatively cheap!
Good luck!

Its not its butt it is having its period it should stop soon. To keep it from bleeding around the house tie a cloth over its "butt" or a diper which you can get at a pet store. I hope you have a nice day bye!!!!

Keep em out of the house and off the white carpet! Then take em to a vet to find out what is wrong with em.
Might be nothing, but you never know.
