it has a rotary bristle......the hygenist did a demonstration....she used a small chalkboard covered in chalk, and asked me to use 2 other electric brushes to swipe across the board....they didn't clean it that good..but the 100 dollar one swiped the chalk off pretty clean.....i felt like i was in an INFOMERCIAL seriously! Should I buy it? I have no idea what the replacement bristles cost.

my dentist firmly believe in the sonicare and so do I! he sells them at his cost - $65. i see them in the stores for $100+. here's my jist on them.... i went two years between cleanings - to the day 2 years (which was really weird). they were blown away at the lack of tarter and plaque build up! i don't brush with it but once a day and my dental hygine stinks as i often only brush in the morning and crash before remembering at night.
the difference - mine doesn't push the brush on you -he stocks them in plain sight if someone wants - they ask him.

Well, whats the brand and name of the toothbrush in question??? I do know that many sonicare and teh such by phillips will run you close to $100 dollars in my practice. we do not make money off of these items, we do however recieve a staff discount when we sell a certain number of them. BUt I can assure you that they are not doing this for the money. Most importantly, you saw the brush work for itself, you know it works well... I say go for it, but we could make a better informed decision if you would leave us with the name and brand of the toothbrush! Hope this helps!!!

Don't know which one your dentist showed you, but my dentist (who happens to be my uncle) recommended the Sonicare toothbrush to me several years ago. It was $80.00 when I bought it, and replacement brushes are like $15.00 a pop, but I have to tell you it does a GREAT job on my teeth and gums. I used to spend an hour in the chair every time I went in for a cleaning, but since I started using the Sonicare I only spend 15-20 minutes in the chair. I also used to bleed like crazy when they cleaned my teeth, and now there's little or no blood when they go in there with the iron hooks.

Of course not! It is not even worth the money!....Seriously!(Be Real) I can use and oral toothbrush or a regular $10.00 Battery Operated Toothbrush and get the same results! If you did buy it, ask the Dentist who you bought it form how much the bristles cost!
Good Luck!

A Crest Spin-Pro has rotary bristles and only costs $10. It will do just as good of job as your dentists brush.

That sounds funny, but there is one dollar store near here, where I couldn't find anything that cost a dollar. Some items were more than a dollar, and some cost less than a dollar, but I didn't see anything that cost a dollar.
