Poultry has about a 1 year lifespan in the freezer. I wouldn't recommend it.

How did you manage to keep a chicken for so long and not know it was there.. any way i'm not sure about if it would be safe. I would say don't risk it because it probably won't taste so good. Even if it doesn't have frost its still got to be freezer burned.
If this is just a cover up for a apartment you've moved into that has been abandoned since 05 and you found a chicken in the freezer then i would definitely not eat it..

My best friend, who fillets his own fish and dresses out his own deer, has cooked stuff that has sat in the freezer for well over a year with no problem. As long as that chicken of yours was put in the freezer immediately or very soon after you bought it you should be OK.

Best time for freezing meat is up to 6 months. After that the taste starts to go odd and I would think 18 months later it would be what they call 'freezer burned' so it would be better to toss it and head to the store for some chicken patties for dinner.

Sure, as long as it remained frozen and was well-wrapped. If it's loosely packaged it has probably picked up freezer burn or freezer odors and should be tossed.l Make sure all chicken is cooked thoroughly.

Gosh, I envy you! How in the heck can you 'find' a chicken in your freezer? It must be huge, to have been hidden so nicely like that.
Anyways, I wouldn't eat it. Better to stay on the safe side.

As a nutritionist I don´t think you should eat that because chicken expires 12 months after you frozen it IF you have packed and frozen it appropriately, wich means in portions, whit no air, in individual bags, etc. Your chicken has more than 14 months so... you shouldn`t cook it.

I have cooked poultry that has been frozen solid in my freezer for over two years and it was very good. So, don't worry about it!
