There is a rumor going around that one of the things found in the recently discovered royal tombs in the Egyptian desert was a chest of ancient Hebrew artifacts, apparently prized possessions of some of the Pharaohs. Among these was what is described as a coat of many colors, somewhat faded with age, but still very vibrant, sealed in a clay jar.

The coast, said to resemble a Nehru Jacket made from a Hawaiian patterned fabric is said to actually emit a soft glow in a completely darkened room.

Israeli archaeologists have already claimed that any Hebrew antiquities found in Egypt are their property, the government of Egypt has made no official comment on the alleged discovery but does admit that some puzzling discoveries have been made of late.

One of my questions would be had it been shredded and soaked in lamb's blood as the Bible says Joseph's brothers did prior to showing it to Isreal.

Interesting...but is there truly any way to know for sure? It's like the Shroud of Turin, there's so much controversy that the true science in it is lost. I think that it's the general consensus that will influence the possibilities of orgin and usage (scary, huh).

I've never heard of a single piece of archaeological evidence - to date - pointing to the biblical Hebrews supposedly held captive by the Egyptians. This is very strange given the penchant of Egyptian scribes to often record even minor gossip.

So no, I haven't heard a thing, and it would be very interesting. Indeed it would be a first.

Is there a website? I find the history in the Bible so facinating. Even more facinating is the facts coming out of the dirt proving that the Bible is correct in such a scientific way! God bless.

Can you site some more information on it? It's actually quite likely because of how much time Joseph spent in Egypt so close to the pharoah. Praise the Lord!!

The things people believe just astound me. This goes on the same level of "Oh, really?" as the Muslims who claim they have found the Ark and the "scientists" who say they can influence water with their minds.

If there is ever independent scientific testing done on the authenticity of that coat and who owned it, I'll eat my hat.

Doubtful, as the biblical story is probably fictitious. Some of the details are definitely fiction.
