BOTH. Try the link in the first answer you got. I also get great e-mail tips from www.catage.com. They'll even answer your feedback! One recently about CHOCOLATE being toxic, & being sure to "add" canned food to diet, to boost fluid levels (in this case, specifically for urinary tract problems). My kitty has been on a diet for at least three years, after severe tummy problems. I give her FRESH dry food every morning & leave it out all day so she can "nibble" as she wishes. I "serve" moist canned food at night, & if she doesn't finish it, I discard it--not good to leave canned food out too long. I can't resist something so cute about her...the food is VERY expensive, so if she doesn't quite finish the dry food, I'd put the dish in a cupboard for the following day, & when I announce "cereal" or "breakfast" she just sits & LOOKS at me because it isn't fresh out of the bag! Sometimes when she's not ready for breakfast, she just looks up & says: "NE-ot-NEOW." (Not now.) Conversely, if I don't serve supper by 10p, she announces "Ne-OW!" (Now!) Just a note for which I'll be reported by some "nasty"--I can't imagine why that first answer got a thumbs down! The "person" is often in this category, & well informed. C'est la vie. I'm glad you took the time to ask. The more you know about your kitty, the longer you'll have the most LOVING companion you could hope for in your life!

Dry is not better for her. Go to www.littlebigcat.com and read Dr. Jean Hovfe's articled titled "Why Cats Need Canned Food" and "What Cats Should Eat". Those two are at the end of about sixty articles on cat behavior, nutrition and health.

And I don't mean cheap food like Whiskas, Friskies, Fancy Feast etc. Wellness has good canned meat, so does Natural Balance. I can get both of those at my local pet discount store.
