Yes, the new tooth will naturally push it out when its ready.
If it isnt loose, maybe you should take the child to a dentist.

What you are describing is not that unusual. Most likely the milk tooth will eventually fall out on its own, of course, but in the meantime his mouth will be a bit crowded. I would think that the only thing a dentist would do is pull the milk tooth, which might be a bit traumatic, and the dentist won't want to do that unless it is essential. When the milk tooth falls out the new one will move forward to fill in the gap. I would wait a week or two and see what happens. The milk tooth is probably loose now.

It seems to be okay! That happend to me one time. My Dentist pulled it out. The new tooth should have enough force to push it's way through the gum! I believe eventually the old tooth will drop out!

I had two children with that problem, except the baby tooth wasn't even loose. We had to go to the dentist and have him pull out the baby tooth. My husband's brother also had that problem. I wonder if it is hereditary?

Yeah sure...tell the kid to brush his teeth and it should be fine. The baby teeth will fall out eventually so I don't think that this is a concern. However, if you have any questions I advise that you consult a dentist.

IF THE PERMANENT TOOTH HAS ALREADY ERUPTED, BUT THE PRIMARY TOOTH IS STILL IN PLACE, IT SHOULD BE REMOVED. PERMANENT TEETH USUALLY DISPLACED PRIMARY TEETH, BUT SOMETIMES MOTHER NATURE NEEDS HELP. GOOD LUCK!
