My bedroom is the worst and the messiest. I don't have a dresser. The shelving unit/ dresser that was built for me was never built with a drawers to put my clothes, so I cram them in boxes and my small closet. My father never got a chance to build them, and now he won't. As far as organization, my room is cluttered to the max. I have a full bookshelf, daybed, a small set of drawers under my TV (they are filled by the way), a small shelf with my cable reciever, VCR, and DVD player, a small plastic drawer set. and my shelving unit. Everything that is not cluttered onto those things are stuck in boxes. How do I make the most of my space?

First, it sounds like it would be a good idea to clean out everything and throw away anything that you are not using. Then organize your boxes, one with sweaters, one with pants, etc. Tuck them into a corner in a dresser like fashion so that they are out of your way. You could even decorate them to go with your room. Sounds like you could have alot more open space with just a little organization!

First off try to go through everything as see what you can part with. It's hard to give or throw away your stuff, but once it's gone the liberation beings. Lofting your daybed might help open up much need storage space. Try getting some plastic stoarge tubs with lids for things you don't use much. moving your furniture around so that the maximum floor space is available helps open the room up.

Keep going vertical. Up to the ceiling, if you have to. Just be sure everything is stable; last thing you want is an avalanche. Luck, m'dear. Yours is a universal problem.

clean it out, get rid of some crap you don't need. You don't have to throw it away, just get it out of your room. I use them vacuum bags for stuff I don't need. Like five boxes of clothes can go in one bag, saves alot of space.

you need to unclutter your room by getting rid of whatever it is that you don't want or need and then you need to learn how to make your room more spacious by balancing your furniture around instead of having everything bunched together spread things out
