Bread. Not the kind you get at the supermarket, but rather warm, fresh, out-of-the-oven bread. The smell of fresh-baked bread is heavenly; and then when you put something like fresh sweet butter on it, or delicious jam or preserves....YUM!
Take two slices of fresh-baked bread, add some really good smoked ham, thinly sliced, and some good swiss or gruyere cheese...lightly toast it under the broiler.
Yep, bread. Fresh-baked bread.
