Buy some dry ice (it's made of carbon dioxide) put it in one air tight clear container with a themometer. Have another container with just normal air in it. Let the dry ice "melt" until you think the container is full of mostly carbon dioxide. Seal both containers at the same time. Heat the two containers with a hot halogen lamp. Measure the difference in temperature. I suppose you can also try using a ballon and blowing into it and using an air pump on another ballon and heating both of them but I don't think the results are going to be as dramatic.

I recommend you search for data regarding mean temperatures in different parts of the world. Accurate records do not go back that far (relatively), but you should be able to get most of the 20th century at a minimum. Also, check out sea levels and the amount of polar ice. There are plenty of research papers out on this subject offer data in both these areas. A quick trip to a library should net you several that have data you can use. It will help you tremendously if you have a basic knowledge of statistics. You might also wish to tie in the decreasing forest acreage and how that can increase CO2 levels and exacerbate the problem. Now, assuming you are making a project out of it, you need a display that brings all this home. Obviously you can use charts and such, making a nice presentation of it (presenting your data, your findings and driving home the conclusion), but that might lack punch and be a bit dry. When I think about something people can ooo and ahh over I think real time modeling (which may or may not be within your grasp, but you may be able to simulate with a well composed PPT presentation or, if you can edit video, movie) because it is the least material intensive and is space efficient. If you are great at putting things together, you may want to build honest to goodness, you can reach out an touch it models. Any of that sound good? Eh, just a thought.

Since it is a science project and not a political project, I would suggest that you avoid Al Gore or other advocates because there is very little science involved. I would suggest you include information about past cycles of warming and cooling that have been occurring for the last few million years. You might want to discuss all the greenhouse gases, i.e water vapor, methane, CO2, etc and counter effects of sulfur compounds, clouds, pollution, dust, etc. Include cycles of solar radiation, sun spots, solar orbit perturbations, etc.
