Okay, let me add on to my previous question if I may. Please, no flaming ok?

I'm making a series of music videos for Mrs. Nancy Reagan, a woman I deeply respect for a lot of reasons.

Anyway, her step-son Mike is doing his talk show here on December 7-8 and I'm hoping we can get to meet . I'm going to give the DVDs to him and ask him to please give them to her at some point during our converation .

I've never done an actual music videos. I do photo montages , but there are only so many Ronnie and Nancy pictures online and I don't like to repete the same pictures . I ordered this DVD and it has a lot of video I can use so I'm going to make an actual music video using that. Problem is , I don't have the foggiest idea how to rip DVDs, the program to use or how to get the ripped files onto Windows Movie Maker.

Mike comes in little more then two weeks , that's what I meant by I'm running out of time.

I'd be greatful for any help! Thank you so much

hi , you can rip the DVDs through this software into any format you want (i think or it dosent matter even if you rip it in avi format windows movie maker will accept that format) just go onto this site and download the software DivX DVD Ripper 1.7 . Also it is a freeware.

Ok, first of all, it might and probably is illegal to take content off the dvd's. But regardless you can do it. You want to get a application like DVD to AVI DivX MPEG Ripper

The url will explain better than I would to do the process. Once you have the avi, you can drag it onto the WMM stage.

Google for
Flaskmpg

or

AutoGK

Follow the directions (its straightforward) and then import the resulting AVI into Movie Maker.

AVS Video Converter is the best. I really like it.

The program is very simple.
- install and run it
- open *.ifo or *.vob files from a DVD (*.ifo is preferable)
- click "To WMV" (WMV is supported by WMM)
- click "Convert Now"

that's all
