work experience with indians?

Question

I am a european woman living in the uae. i got a good job offer. i would be the only woman working with indians (all male). do you think that could cause some problems? because of their social backgrounds? would they have a problem with a womam making the same salary they have? the salary for working in the uae is just great. That is the reason why i even thinking about to take the offer. has any woman experince working with indian men? please let me know,

Not at all... I am working and have worked with a whole load of Indians and they are GREAT, they do not have an attitude for starters. They will be a lil sceptical bout talking to you at 1st coz they are not very open to EU women and wouldn't want you to think that they are getting in your way. It may be upto you to break the ice at 1st... but hey, you'll see that you won't have any probs and may be the centre of attraction there, with each one of them coming in to show you the best they know bout the job.

Here Working with Indians or with any other asian nationalities, is the same. I Don't think they should cause you any problems at work, Yes, initally they might find it disturbing that you have been put on the same salary level, but I guess that should all right after a while, (its the male ego that comes in over here), Have a great time working in Dubai, & All The Best For Your New Job.

Being European, they know you have grown up under a different set of rules and values. Like any of job where men are the majority, stand your ground when you have to and show them women are not second class or inferior.

They are very nice people in my opinion.
