The pistol could hold five shots, but he only had one bullet loaded. Therefore, when he fired, four of the times he fired nothing and one time he fired a bullet.

You didn't say how many bullets he had in the pistol. You just said that it hold 5 shots but not how many bulletes there were actually at that time. So the guy only had one bullet.

well I've heard that no matter if you think the guns hold a certain amount there is always one more bullet in the shooter. So maybe he shot that one twice. or he shot that person on his main vein. and or he shot this man on the head, directly to the heart.

He shot one guy in the head and he died. THen he shot the rest but missed or didn't kill the other four.

How 'bout this? Not all of the shots were lethal? Just because you get shot doesn't make it an automatic death sentence. You could get shot in the arm, leg, even sometimes your head and still live.
