I helped my dad start a huge business in our town, on most days i was the only one out there helping him. I quit my old job which i was making great money at to help him and now i am going to school for business so i can take over one day. He says he really wants me to take over one day but at the same time he treats me like ****. I mean i will come in like 5 min late and all hell brakes lose but every one elts comes in like 10 or 15 min late and its ok. He treats me so much different than any of the other workers, i get paid $10 an hour and i get paid salery, and im the manager of my department, but every week i work like 55 or 60 hours not 40. the business owe's me like $3,000 . I know that he expects a lot more out of me cause im his son but im tired of being treated like crap when i do more than any one elts here. Should i b-i-t-c-h and complain to him or should i just take it untill i get the company??

Big decision!!! Sometimes it's easier for people in charge to be mean than it is for them to be nice!! And sometimes its hard for older people to believe younger people do such a great job!!! I'd have a calm discussion about it and let him know your not happy with the way he treats you. Open and honest is the best way!!!

Welcome to the real world of management! IT SUCKS! First off, hes much harder on you for being late, because you are suppose to be the role model. You being late probably gives reasoning as to why everyone else thinks its ok to be late. If you get paid 10 buck an hour plus salary, thats pretty good. I dont know any managers who work 40 hours a week only, Or even less than 60 hours a week. So 55-60 is about right. When you actually do get the company, You will probably notice your actions alot more since others will be using you as their example.

You are in business. Act like a businessman, *********.i.n.g will not work because you will look like a sniveling brat. (I assume your not)
Tell your boss, who happens to be your father, that you expect to be paid for every hour that is owed to you with your next regular pay check or you want part ownership in the business and quarterly dividends to make up for the hours you put in without pay. (if your salery is compensation for extra time worked you have no reason to expect extra pay but you still have the right to re-negotiate your terms...get it in writing)
That is a fair and reasonable request.
Your father could live a very long time and if he is holding a carrot in front of your nose to keep you where he wants you then he has you pegged and has no reason to change how he sees you.
If he does not pay you or at least make a mutually acceptable compromise be prepared to find another job.
I would not make threats however. Try talking first, if he says no find a better job and give him the opportunity to match it or better it and if he does not give notice.
Or stay, keep your mouth shut and become resentful and unhappy!!!
It really is your choice.
PS- Start being on time.
