I have honestly never thought of it in that way.
But it is a good compairson, except we do not get into heaven with the Gems of Mary, but with her help.
Not bad!
Peace and God Bless!

Our King will not refuse us! The immaculate Heart of Mary is full of love for God and mankind and has compassion for all sinners. As the mediatrix of All Graces and the Mother of Mercy, we must remember the infinite treasure which her Divine son has merited by His sufferings and Passion. We pray to the Holy Mother to intercede on our behalf because we know that if she prays for us or in other words presents our petition on our behalf, we know that she cannot be refused. After Jesus's first miracle was at the wedding in Cana and performed on her behalf.

The only One who intercedes for us is Jesus Christ.
Although Mary is blessed, she was a person used by God to accomplish His purpose, just like He uses us every day.
Granted, what our Father used her for was wonderful, and she felt blessed, God uses each and every one of us, every day.
I don't believing in exhaulting Mary, or any of the disciples, either. The disciples were ordinary men, empowered by the Holy Spirit to do extraordinary things.
The same as God using us, every day, for things big and small.
Keep your focus on God the Father, and salvation through Jesus Christ, His Son.
Christ said "no one can come to the Father but by me."
God does not play favorites. It doesn't matter if you are a little old lady, or Mother Theresa. He loves both the same.
Don't pray to Mary. She cannot hear you. She is in Heaven, enjoying being in the presence of our Creator, just like every other believer.

Columbus nor the Queen are part of that sentence from the Lord's Prayer.
It means what is done in Heaven will be done on earth.

No, I can not because it is insulting to Jesus himself that after he died on the cross so that we COULD approach him as clean hearts and receive salvation through his sacrifice, that we would pray to Mary. I know you say for intercedes, but Mary is dead and she is not to be worshiped or prayed to. The same goes about the Saints. To ask a person who is alive to pray for you is one thing, but to pray to the dead, of which God tells us NOT to do just as he tells us NOT to worship anyone else or pray and worship Idols! It is a SIN! Yes, I use to be Catholic but am now of non-denomination, mostly for this exact conflict of belief!

No, Jesus is the ONLY mediator between man and God and I go right to Him. If God says it is not His will for me to do something, I dont want someone else (even Mary) saying "He didn't mean it, you go ahead I'll talk to Him"
Through Jesus we can boldly approach the throne room, what is this saying if we go to a mortal human to do this for us?

It's a nice story, but has nothing to do with Jesus and Mary.
After Jesus' baptism Mary was refered to as "woman" at
John 2:3 When the wine ran short the mother of Jesus said to him: “They have no wine.” 4 But Jesus said to her: “What have I to do with you, woman? My hour has not yet come.”
