Ok, your Bible has teachings such as:
"Love thy neighbor as thyself"
"Judge not lest ye be judged"
And so forth, yeah I could continue with those, but I'd rather just get to the question.

Ok, if those are what your religion teaches. Then why when someone who is a Muslim, or a Pagan, posts something on Y! Answers, why do some of these people that call themselves Christians reply with hate and remarks like:
"Burn in hell"
"Burn the witch"
"Your faith is wrong"
"Your religion is evil"
"You just don't know what love is"
"It's all about Jesus, and you're all slipping into anti-christianity!"

So for a group who is taught all about loving their fellow humans, they do spread a lot of hate. So whats with it? Does one of the scriptures in the Bible say its ok to be so hipocritical?

Like I said SOME people do this, not all Christians. I actually have quite a few Christian friends, and as long as we leave religon out of our conversations, we're fine.

Like it or not that kind of Christianity has existed for centuries. That is also the way many schools and businesses work, along with the military, it's called negative motivation.

Regonal Managers yell at District Managers, who Yell at Store Managers who Yell at their Assistants, who Yell at the rank and file.

We are filled with negative rules. Ten minutes late to high school class and it's a tardy. Three tardy's and you get detension. If you are caught on the wrong side of the yellow line at lunch you get a swat.

Negative reenforcement is a primary factor in behavior modification. A small electrical charge everytime you attempt to pull out a ciggarette eventuallys repluses you.

By your own views, you should dislike the "Trolls" here who click on the abuse links and give the thumbs down votes.

You also have to consider the motivation.

If Atheists, for example, keep calling the Bible Fiction and God Sky Daddy, it's going to invoke a harsh reaction because those terms are consider blaphemous.

Now, try using the F word in front of your father and grandmother and see if you don't get knocked into tomorrow by your daddy.

It's the nature of humans to be reactionary and, yes, Jesus said turn the other cheek. But Jesus also said sell all you own and buy a sword, while he also said those who live by the sword die by the sword, so you balance things out. Jesus didn't expect anyone to become a whipping boy due to his teachings.

You are both right and wrong although I doubt all of those answers came from Christians. Burn in hell would be the judgment we are not to make.. burn the witch is a definite no no. Your faith is wrong is a judgment that not only is allowed it is encouraged.Your religion is evil would also be a judgment that is allowed. We as Christians are taught to judge but not condemn. many people interpret judge not lest ye be judged as a comandment to check your brain it is not. 1 Corinthians 6: 1 Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unjust, and not before the saints?
2 Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters? 3 Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?

Because everybody is human and capable of error. I agree, a Christian who wants to be more "Christ-like" should not talk like that. But there are extremes in every walk of life, not just Christians. We must remember that all human beings have a bad day or two or seven and this forum is a way of releasing stress for some. We are christian, but we are also human. We are sorry, as you would if you hurt another. Not everybody is like that, you must remember. This also does not mean we don't seek God with all our heart and soul. We live in this crazy world, too. We are no better than anyone else. God bless.

Sounds like Tares. Tares will grow together with the good seed, (the children of the kingdom - Matt.13:38, Acts.17:29, Gal.3:26, the wheat - Matt.13:30) to the end.

Tares are those Jesus will profess He never knew (Matt.7:23, Lk.13:17).

...Please remember that to disagree with you does not constitute hate - I don't know about you, but some people can't or won't handle anyone who expresses disagreement, and that can very well be an adjustment problem with that individual.
...Love does not always agree or give acceptance - if something is wrong, it's wrong - some folks need to grow up.
...I do not hear very many skeptics quote this verse in John 7:24. Jesus says "Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment." He doesn't prohibit making judgments - we must and do make judgments all the time.
...We are not to judge a person's relationship with God, which we cannot see or be sure of - only God knows.

Friend I don't come on here & say burn in hell, or burn the witch, But you peopel have to get the ideal out of your head, that Christianity is all LOVE stuff, Yes it is true That we must have love, But there is a stopping place on this love, If you came to my house drunk & cussing my wife out am I to just stand there & let you do that, NO,The God I serve is a God of Love & also of Judgement & also of wrath, Now Apostle Paul said in 2nd Cor. 4:3 If our gospel be hid it is hid to them that are lost, & also Paul says if we or an angel from heaven came & preached unto you any other gospel that what we have preached unto you let him be accursed. Yes God is Love, But also Judgement & Wrath. So any other teachings other then what the Apostles of Old taught is wrong, Acts 2:38-44 They continue in ONE ACCORD & in the Apostles Doctrine, & also the bible says to study thyselve to see if you be in the TRUTH.

What the Bible says is clear. And there is no shadow of evil in it or in God. But man is man, and man is not PERFECT. This is no justification for wrong attitudes in SOME people who claim to be christian. But you may also see policemen accepting brives, being corrupted... but would you curse the police because of certain bad examples?

And muslims, atheist, and pagans don't show the same ignorance? Not saying all do btw. People will be people, regardless of religion. But people like that really should grow up.

Those so-called "Christians" who say those things are not real Christians. If they were, they would live by the words of Jesus and not say those things and not judge others for they are going AGAINST what Jesus says.

I would personally never make a statement like that to or about someone of another faith. And I'm Christian.
