Human shampoo can be harsh for dogs. Do you have any children's Benadryl on hand? The dosage is 1mg active ingredient (diphenhydramine) per pound of body weight. A "teacup" dog would get half a dose, a dog weighing 10-12lbs would get a single child's dose (12mg), a 25-lb dog would get 2 doses, etc. Until then, try to wash him with gentle puppy shampoo or even plain lukewarm water.

My dog had something smiliar and she's itchy and she'll start loseing hair in those areas. Jack russells like boxers and other wirey coated dogs have very sensitive skin. There are lost of things you can try and sometimes they work and sometimes not...my dogs case got so bad I had to take her to the vet to get meds. With my dog it was a skin irration. First thing I can tell you is when you wash your dog, don't go against the fur only with it. Same thing when drying the dog! Try changing shampos. NORMALLY anything with oatmeal or aloe is hypo allergenic. If you can afford it get something that is all nautrual. It could also be the food you are feeding your dog. Try switching foods but do it small amounts so that you won't upset his stomach. First day use 25% new food then 50% than 75% ect!! But try and change it over a 2 week period if you can. If not sometimes 1 week will work. If all else fails take him to the vet. They'll want to test for mange and as long as that comes back negative they'll prescribe antibotics and it should clear up! Hope that helps!

likely it really is a hematoma; a swollen pocket of blood. It occurs at the same time as canines shake their heads viciously, many times simply by an ear an infection, mites or something like a grass spur interior the ear. It desires to be drained through the vet. it ought to need surgical treatment, so it would not go back. Ignoring it, ought to enable it to unravel yet there'll be an excellent type of scarring. the bigger situation is that if the underlying reason for the whole shaking isn't got here upon & treated. it really is conceivable your canines has yet another nutrition hypersensitivity - they could advance at any time & nutrition factors can substitute w/o the label reflecting it.

I think it may just be a rash and FYI their is a reason doggy shampoo was invented. it may also be a bee sting. 4 that u must go to the vet. cus your dog may die f it is. try some antibiotic ointment and if that does not help contact the vet immediately.
