Bananas, milk and vanilla yoghurt!!! yum yum!!

I got a smoothie maker recently as well and found that some recipes either work, or they definitely do not! lol. All the most successful recipes, I have found, include some sort of fruit juice as the base of the smoothie and from there anything goes really! A extraordinarily simple yet fantastic idea is just milk (or yoghurt) with a few strawberries and rasberries thrown in. Another option is just to crush some ice and mix with a fruit juice - the simple ideas always turn out to be the best!

Try Mixing:

1 Banana
1-2 Handfuls Of Strawberries
1/2 A Pot Of Plain Yoghurt
1-2 Rings Of Pineapple
&& Your Own Amount Of Vanilla Ice-Cream Depending On How Thick You Want It To Be

It Tastes Nice && Is Refreshing

Don't know why people are sayuing frozen fruit here, surely the point of making a smoothie is you get to use the fresh stuff! Generally banana is a good base as it's sweet and thick, add some strabs, grapes and a splash of vodka if you're in the mood for refreshment. Hoo-har!

Most supermarkets carry smoothie mixes now in the freezer section - frozen sliced fruits in varying combinations.

We're big fans of strawberry, rasberry and banana with an orange juice base, or two thirds juice to one third milk or frozen yoghurt... tummy freeze inevitable but SO nice!!!

I have a smoothie just about every morning. I just use plain soy milk and add organic frozen fruit like strawberries, blueberries or banana's. Then I add 8 small ice cubes and blend. I also add 2 Tbls. of flax meal but that isn't necessary.
I loooove chocolate, so sometimes I use chocolate soy milk, ice and extra chocolate syrup. I also add half a frozen banana.

2 large, ripe bananas, sliced
2 cups frozen sliced strawberries, slightly defrosted in microwave, just to break up the block a bit
2 cups sliced frozen peaches, slightly defrosted in microwave, just to break up the block a bit
2 cups strawberry banana lowfat custard yogurt
2 cups milk

In half-batches, combine all ingredients in blender and blend on high until smooth. The frozen fruits will make the smoothies extra cold and frothy, too!
