the upper shoulder get tight from the arms going back and forth in a normal motion when you jog. massage can alleivate this, it could also be your form when you jog hunching over of leaning to far forward can cause the the back to become tight.

Not sure if it is your lower or upper back but my lower back gets tight when I run. My massage therapist had me start doing stretches for my hips and it has made a huge difference. It seems the more loose my hips are the less strain there is on my back.

dont jog do some walking for a while this is better for the back. also yoga is a great form of stretching and exercise. read tips on yoga routines and much more on this site

Simple most back problems are simple solved by doing sit-ups. Why? Because most people over work there backs making them tighten up, by doing sit-ups it strengthens your abbs stretching your back out better normally. For a short term solution take 2 alieve before you run.
