I've tried my hardest to look within and around for the essence of "God' and I see none, am I blind or wrong?

I've tried, but I just don't 'feel' it. It returns blankly and in silence when I strive to believe in signs or evidence. I just feel I am alone on this rock surrounded by people who are results of a complicated accident, triggered by organs and brain-power to function through everyday actions, it doesn't feel 'real' or 'spiritual'

You are telling me that you are "open" to learning about your soul or spirit, as well as learning about this physical world through your Intellect. I hear your frustration that you cannot get "in touch" with anything you have been told is Reality and/or spiritual.

I am a Christian. I am non-denominational. And, I am devoted to Spirituality. I do not know from what you have said above if you belong to, or are being raised in, a specific church or faith.

Spirituality is sometimes a better road for people than religion which contains dogma and can be confining in establishing a relationship with Jesus and the Holy Spirit and experiencing the things you would like to experience. This is what I have learned:

1. God is a Mind. A Mind in a body of essence. Without physical form, God is called Spirit. He Creates other spirit-minds, like Himself - for He only knows Himself. He never sees anything different from Himself. He contains all Knowledge and Knowing - this means all possible causes and reasons for Being, the Perfection of Being and all Creative Thoughts and feelings possible for Mind. There is nothing UNknown by Him.

2. He is without any judgement ; this is because Spirit has no judgement mechanism, therefore, He loves all He thinks of and all He "sees." Only the Intellect of humans has judgement.

3. The Kingdom of God is Within is a statement of Truth. In this world we are experiencing ourselves and the world as physical matter . Everything is perishable. But, what God Created never withers, or dies. He Created Spirit.

Since we are having a physical experience we are seldom aware that within us, just beyond the Intellect of our Mind, lies the soul or spirit that God did create. It's the Seat of our Knowledge. We are quite blocked off from it ! The Intellect is physically represented as "brain." It likes things that are concrete. Tangible. Things it can acknowledge through its senses. It likes intangible things to be provable. Through Science.

Science speaks of Evolution and life processes in formulas and mathematical equations. It is complex and very impressive to our Intellects. But. . .God is not a mathematical equation. And a fully well-integrated Intellect recognizes that God and Evolution exist together. It isn't one, or the other. They are both in existence - at the same time.

Attending church, reading Bibles and Praying will not necessarily put you into the Presence you wish to have experience of.

People are not accidents. Inside of each is a spirit-mind in touch with its Creator. Only, the Intellect does not experience this. There is nothing spiritual about the Intellect or our surface consciousness. It is self-interested and not very dependable in its love toward others. Yet, something inside of us Knows all the Creator knows, and loves like Him.

How do we reach this soul or spirit? The Holy Spirit was placed within our soul or spirit-mind. He is the great Comforter and our Guide in life. His non-tonal voice is your Conscience, for one.
Jesus was put in charge of us as our great Teacher. He reminds us of the Nature of God through the demonstration He made in His earthly life; but also, He teaches how to get in touch with our greater Self - the soul within. Our spirit minds are actually joined to the Mind of God in His Reality and ours. So, the mystery of the Universe is easily shown to us in spirit-mind. Jesus says that when He teaches us about God and about our holy Self, He is really just causing us to REMEMBER. We think we are learning, but we are bringing up inside of ourselves, the memory of something we have forgotten about - due to the human Intellect.

First, we need to simply ask the Holy Spirit to bring an experience of Himself into our surface consciousness. Then ask Jesus to be your Teacher. He still teaches ceaselessly, Mind to Mind and Thought by Thought. His voice can be recognized clearly within your mind when He speaks. He will answer your questions. The Holy Spirit has a non-tonal type voice you hear as Conscience or anytime you are having "higher" thoughts, rather than lower thoughts. Lower thoughts are through the Intellect and concerned mainly with the body, and needs and wanting, lack, and low self-esteem, as well as thoughts upon its physical world. Higher thoughts are about using the body as a tool for giving to others what they think they lack and need, when you are able to provide it. We use the body to teach (our voice), our arms to deliver things that are lacking for others. It's about being the highest and best self you can be. The Holy Spirit never speaks of your plans to "get." For He will provide what you need and lack, and sees no concern in that : IF you are willing to RECEIVE and will allow it to be given to you. We all have blockages in our Intellect that determines how much good we will ALLOW ourselves. Jesus and the Holy Spirit do not hold back from us. They come forth to the degree that you will allow it ; in their teaching you and in their providing material things you may need and ask for.

When we do NOT receive, we need to look at possible blockages in our minds to receiving. Jesus will help you analyze what blockages you may have, IF you ask Him to do so.

A book that can teach you about your soul and about your Creator and cause you to establish dialogue with Jesus is a book called, "A Course in Miracles." Libraries have it. The Publisher will sell it to you directly, at: 415/ 388-2060 in California. I highly recommend this. This book causes spiritual experiences - with The Holy Spirit and Jesus, guiding them. It is safe. Totally.

Our physical-ness is also explained in great depth as being part of the Great Separation mentioned in the Bible. However, as spirit-minds who are part of God, Himself, the Separation actually has to do with Mind, and from spirit-mind arose the Intellect. God is a power. His Thoughts travel through the One-Mind He Established in Creation. We are individual entities, but have a one-mind channel that travels through the all of us to God. His thoughts proceed from Him through to all of us. God is an Intimacy. Intimacy is of the Mind - not of the body. Intimacy fills us up. The thoughts of the Intellect keep you feeling empty. The Great Separation occured due to thoughts that occurred in our Reality with our Creator.

Mysticism (NOT occult) is our experiences of our own soul and our experiences of Intimacy with God through the Holy Spirit. The physical self, the Intellect, this physical world and some actions of others we witness will never have any Real or spiritual meaning for you. Only the sudden appearances of love and generosity give us a brief glimpse, here and there, of the Reality we all truly belong to. Do not look for yourself and your Creator in the world of the physical. Learn to go within and find your connection. It is more easily tapped by reading and then asking questions of Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

Earth is very easy to understand, because it is what it is ,. created for a purpose, but human beings have complicated what was so simple and clear. Reality is blocking you from seeing the essence of who you are, instead of focusing only on the environment around you. Even if we as humans tried to feel alone, there are to many others there, unless you completely disown your fellow human beings and go live on an isolated rock. You are real, therefore you are, the unknown is what is not real. Find and then realize that life has and always will be a struggle, but the joy is there, if only the individual looks and recognizes the gift that life truely is...

I have had a deep spiritual understanding all my life, but I have not "felt" God either. But I know He is everything I am. It returns blankly because you are turned away. You say you "try my hardest"...you don't understand, there is no effort in mind, and mind is all there is. There is no accident...God is All That Is.
