Ten commandments?

Question

Okay I know that I'm not suppose to break any of the commandments but I have a question? Do you think breaking one commandment is worst than another one. For example... Is murder worst than commiting adultery? Just wondering?

Jesus said the law of the prophets (ten commandments) can be summed up in this: Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength and love your neighbor as yourself. The ten commandments can be broken down into these two categories, but sin is anything that separates you from God. In God's eyes sin is sin because He is holy and cannot coexist with sin. That would mean that a lie is as much a sin as murder. Where the difference is felt is in the human fallout. Obviously there are different human consequences so we make up false levels of sin based on how it affects us and those around us. The good news is Jesus will forgive any sin so you can be in right relationship with God. The difficult news is we still have to live with the consequences of our actions for ourselves and others.

Theyr'e both bad offenses and in Mosaic law times, both were punishable by stoning. However, murder is still something that u can't apologise or repent to the victim. In the laws of the state, it can get u life imprisonment or the death penalty. Both are forgivable according to 1 Corinthians 6; 9 - 11 but one must not keep repeating the deed.

Each of the 10 describe a very serious sin, and even though one might be more serious than another, without genuine and prompt contrition and repentance, they are all serious enough to permanently separate one from God's grace and peace.
