well siad. its makes them feel smart b/c they are shallow stupid people after all. its a way for them to avoid the answer that they did not like b/c it was true

Ignore them, because they obviously don't understand the history and progression of the language. If they understood, then I don't believe that they would be so uptight about spelling. Our spelling system is archaic and not up to date regarding pronunciation. There was something called the Great Vowel Shift, but the old spellings were retained. Also, the English language contains many redundant letters. In early modern English, there was no spelling standard, and it didn't matter. It still doesn't matter, and these so-called "grammarians" think they know it all, they only know a tiny piece of what is going on in the language, and they can't put it together to see the big picture. Language is ALWAYS changing. Get over it spell checkers. (by the way, I have won many spelling bees in my life)

Bet you put more effort into mispelling words, trying to prove a point than actually spelling it right. Maybe you should take some pointers that were obviously given to and make a teeny, tiny effort to spell words properly. No wonder the world thinks Americans are dumb...we aren't. Make our country proud and man up.
