Go to Sally Beauty supply and purchase a ceramic straightener. It's so much better on your hair than anything else on the market. Metal irons do alot of damage on your hair.

I like Conair's Ceramic Straighteners. Any kind of straightener is good but try to stick with a ceramic straightner becuase it does not snag your hair as much. I also heard that Gold N' Hot is a good brand too but I think any brand will do fine as long as it is good quality. You can get one at any superstore or hair store.

CHI flat iron @ Trade Secrets comes with a one year warranty for 169.95 (reg. price) but Metropolis Irons (@ trade secrets as well) come with a TEN year warranty for $150. There are a lot of holiday deals out there as well. Buy a blowdryer, get the flat iron free etc.
