I'm sure I will eventually get tired of the look of it and want a new look instead of new gun.

I got my 30-06 brand new with a wood stock so I am sure they are out there. Check with a gunsmith shop or even at gunshows and you should be able to find them. Another place to look is ebay.com

Bound's hubby here:

If you check the Remington catalog (or on-line website) you will notice that Remington offers the Model 710 with a synthetic stock. In addition, if you check out the Boyd's sitem you will find that they do not offer ANY stocks for the Remington Model 710. If I remember correctly, the Model 710's stock is molded around the action, and does not lend itself to stock interchangeability!

As an aside, Boyd's is the leading manufacturer of replacement stocks and blanks. If they don't have it, chances are it is not available!
Good luck!

Yes, there are wood stocks for just about anything, for a popular American rifle like that there are many different grades and styles. Try miswayusa.com or brownells for a start.
