Sounds like the beginning of a nice clashing of the minds. why doesn't he want to be married in a church? Is he particularly nonreligious? If he is nonreligious and you are particularly religious, this could be more of a problem than you have even fathomed. Actually, I haven't heard of a groom putting up a stink about where the actual ceremony will be held. The brides usually do the majority of the planning. My husband for example, helped with some things, like the cake and the final decision on the reception hall, but he really didn't mind where the actual ceremony was held. I guess ask him why he doesn't want to be married in a church. If he actually has a decent answer, maybe you should consider it. A beach wedding would also be pleasant. You could rent a small rent or gazebo and do a lot of fresh flowers to dress it up. Communicate!!!!!!! And don't be against compromise. Good Luck and Congratulations:)

Are you really ready to get married? You misspelled "church" twice. Plus, are you a member of the church? Do you go to church on a regular basis? Are you religious? If the answer to any of those is yes, he should have known about it before now so it shouldn't be a huge surprise that you would want to get married there.
If the answer is no, then why do you want to get married in a church? If there is no real meaning for you and your guy is opposed to it, I think you should respect his wishes. You need to think about not only your attitude toward church but his as well.

find somewhere you both like, there is a really old church near our place with amazing grounds, me and my hubby compromised and got married on the grounds (cheaper tahn in the church, not a church for me, but looking at one for him, and really really pretty) perhaps something like that? its gotta be what you both want. Just a thing about the beach though, my sister did that, and the wind messed up her hair, and the waves made it really hard to hear what was being said. It was lovely, but yeah there were problems.

I think it would be very pretty to be married out on a beach. Would you mind being married on a beach, or have you always wanted to be married in a church? I think you guys need to decide together!

don't get married purely please your dad. i'm no longer asserting this to be mean, i might purely prefer to shake your father. he's doing something undesirable to you. you could emancipate your self out of your father without his permission. in case you have an exceedingly good college guidance counseller, this guy or woman ought to have the flexibility that might assist you out. If no longer, ask on the criminal area right here. clarify that your dad is pressuring you into marriage till now you turn 18. additionally, in some states you are the right age to come back to a style at sixteen the place you reside. i can not have self assurance the failings some mothers and fathers arise with...... in case you get somewhat, somewhat desperate, you could desire to consistently purely flow stay inclusive of your boyfriend and his mom without your dad's permission. relying on the state which you're in, he could desire to have the flexibility to call the police yet whilst he somewhat needs you long previous, i'm unsure he'd try this. additionally, he'd ought to recognize which you will desire to describe the placement to the law enforcement officers, which might make him look like an entire jerk. i'm hoping this works out for you. Please don't get married till you're waiting!!!!!!

Honey seeing as how you can't even spell church, I don't think you faith/ties to the church are that tight. But try to compromise, maybe find a church at the beach and have the reception on the sand or a boat.

Could you make a temporary structure on the beach, like a gazebo, so it would feel more church-like?
