Why not ask this question, why are men such stupid and ignorant? I think that you would be the perfect one to answer the question. First of all why not show some respect, and address it as WOMAN, NOT CHICKS, I think that your education level prevents you from doing this though. What can't you handle a woman that can handle herself I mean if a woman is independent that means that she is a strong willed person who knows that she does not need to depend on a man to support her. It doesn't mean that she cannot have a soft side as well, one that likes to be held. And far as you THINKING that independent woman give it up quicker is not true. I think you need to meet a real independent woman and see how far you will get. And me myself being a very independent woman, would not give a BOY like you the time of day.. Learn some respect...

Being independent is not a matter of being a chick or not. It is something that every has a right as an individual, as a person.
giving a Lady the treat and the respect that she deserves has nothing to do with been independent or not.

Being independent has nothing to do with wanting to be treated like a lady, independence means not having to rely on anyone, and what makes you think an independent woman is alone, there are men who prefer woman that can take care of themselves. Independent women do not give it up quickly they like to choose and they don't choose loosers.

If you are dealing gold diggin girls then you are definitely not dealing with an independent lady. No TRUE independent lady would want you to take care of them, cause they do it on their own without your help. Independent ladies maybe "give it up" because they know what they want and are not into playing games, they are also more intelligent than your gold diggers.
Being treated like lady has nothing to do with independence. As any well-bred man knows, it is a matter of respect.

Dude u are getting it all wrong.. Being treated like a lady is being respected.. Im sure u do respect the women in ur family.. And being independent is basically more like being un adult and taking responsiblities.. Than being needy or perhaps depending on someone else. First of all, no they don't.. Second, You are just mad cause no independent woman wants you. You scared of an independent woman. We have our own opinions and we think for ourselves.. You can't control us.. We make our own money and don't need to rely on anyone... but every now and then we like for the man to take control and give us,independent women , a break and relax a little.. Of course independent women deserve to be treated like a lady. Independent women can still be in relationships that are mutually beneficial. Alot of women these days know they can't rely on anyone but themselves in the end so they have to keep a degree of independence. Besides, by your last statement I can see why they want to be independent of you.

Being treated like a "lady" just means being treated with respect. And if you wanna open a door for your girl beyond that, then you're just being nice. Just like if she wants to rub your shoulders at the end of the day.
So yeah, independent chicks can have it both.

I'm sorry, but wanting to be treated like a lady has nothing to do with independence. So, I pay my own bills, bought my own car, pay my own rent, I don't deserve to be treated like a lady? That makes no sense. And, most independent "chicks" don't give it up that quick. That would be the skanks.

Quite the immature description of your question there...
Women want to be independent because it empowers them. It helps the way they present themselves and how they behave on a daily basis. There are plenty of independent women who appreciate chivalry; that doesn't make them dependent on a man. "because the give it up quick"??? Not really sure what kind of girls you're after but that sounds like those women are just weak, not independent.
